I am still a veterinarian, so I thought I would share some enlightening information for those of you who are pet owners, from my years of experience in private practice.  Please note that this is only general information and not to be used for diagnosis and treatment of specific diseases and disorders of your individual pets.  I can’t diagnose and treat your animal without a valid veterinary-client-patient relationship, which means that I have to physically examine your pet and talk to you in person.  So please don’t ask me about Buddy’s scratching and red skin or Fluffy’s daily “hairballs.”  Phew, legal speak done.  Also, please leave comments and questions for any future subjects to be discussed.
